In Memoriam Robert Bockmiller, the compiler of the monograph Thomas Coar of Belfast, Ireland and His Descendants, died on 10 October 1999. Requiescat en pace, Bob. Many of the images reproduced here were scanned from that work.

I'm putting photographs and scans of various ancestors, relatives, and other material here. Note that some of the images are actually scans of photostats of very old photographs, and the quality is far from that of the original.

The 'ancestor portrait' mentioned in the descriptions is the one in Ken Coar's possession, a thumbnail version of which is seen in the sidebar. We think it might be Seth Coar, but we need to have it cleaned and examined to really determine the age. Right now that's a guess from the clothing fashion and the information that it is one of Ken's ancestors.
